Inter Milan Vs Slavia Prague – Nerazzurri Coach Could Rest Key Players For Champions League Clash | OneFootball

Cristian Chivu has little time to prepare his Inter squad before hosting Slavia Prague at San Siro in the Champions League group stage.

The Nerazzurri defeated Cagliari 2-0 in Sardinia on Saturday evening and will host the Czech side in Milan on Tuesday night.

According to Sky Sport’s Matteo Barzaghi, via FCInter1908, the coach has yet to give clear indications on whether Francesco Pio Esposito could start.

The youngster scored his first Serie A goal at Cagliari and is now pushing for more minutes.

Another option is forward Ange-Yoan Bonny, who has yet to start but has shown promise.

Barzaghi explained that Bonny had a minor fitness issue last week but nothing serious and he featured off the bench in Sardinia.

He could be considered if Chivu opts to rest either Lautaro Martinez or Marcus Thuram ahead of a busy schedule.

Rotation may prove essential as Inter seek to maintain their momentum in Europe.
