Karim Adeyemi has been strongly linked to a January move to Inter from Germany, but there’s not much to it behind the scenes. The center-forward could finally be on the move, as he’s been tipped to leave for multiple windows. However, if he’d easily pick the Premier League over the Serie A, Fabrizio Romano reports (via SOSFanta).

The German international has been routinely attached to a transfer to Italy, but always ended up staying. He recently hired new representatives to facilitate his exit. It remains to be seen whether it’ll indeed happen during the winter, though.

Rather than Inter, Adeyemi was reportedly close to Napoli and Juventus in the past. Even if Borussia Dortmund greenlit his departure, the deal wouldn’t be cheap. The Nerazzurri are content with their frontline, considering the performances of their new youngsters and their two cornerstones.

The 23-year-old has registered 5 goals and 3 assists in 16 appearances so far this season.

Our Take on Inter and Adeyemi

It’ll be interesting to see whether the Nerazzurri will do anything at all in January, as they are generally quiet midseason and take care of business during the summer. They could use some touch-ups, especially in the midfield and on the wings, but they are fine depth-wise. They’d have to part ways with some of their deputies and then find some upgrades. If they really liked the Borussia Dortmund star, they would have targeted him after missing out on Ademola Lookman.

Conversely, if he wanted to head to Serie A, he would have moved to either Juventus or Napoli in the past window. They have been after him for years and splurged for Lois Openda and Rasmus Hojlund, respectively.
