Liverpool only signed ONE player for the first team last summer with Federico Chiesa arriving from Juventus.
The 27-year-old Italy winger was signed for a knock-down fee, which could reach £12 million, as Juve sought a solution to get his salary off the books.
There was quite a fanfare over Chiesa’s acquisition with fans initially hailing sporting director Richard Hughes for completing an ‘opportunistic’ transfer.
However, things haven’t gone to plan for the Euro 2020 winner, who has spent only 78 minutes on the pitch in total since signing just before deadline day.
