Inter Milan are ready to rival Premier League interest in signing Eduardo Camavinga from Real Madrid this summer.
Camavinga is expected to leave Real Madrid this summer after a difficult campaign, as part of a shake-up under returning head coach Jose Mourinho.
The France midfielder was left out of his nation’s World Cup squad after struggling for form and is understood to be available for transfer this summer, should a suitable offer arrive.
Camavinga has been heavily linked with the Premier League. Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester United have all been named as potential suitors, though English teams are set to face competition from Europe.
Mundo Deportivo are reporting that Inter have enquired about the 23-year-old. The Italian champions want to reinforce an ageing midfield.
Hakan Çalhanoğlu, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Piotr Zieliński are all aged 32 or over, while there are doubts over Davide Frattesi’s future. The latter has been linked with Nottingham Forest.
Camavinga has made 223 appearances for Real Madrid since signing from Rennes as a teenager. He’s won two La Liga titles and two Champions League trophies among 11 honours at the Bernabeu.
