Davide Frattesi is in limbo, as he wishes to depart, but Inter would only let him go for a considerable offer. His suitors haven’t tendered that much at this stage. Nottingham Forest have inquired lately, but the Nerazzurri ask for €35M, Gianluca Di Marzio reports.

The midfielder has continued to have a secondary role despite the coaching change. He’s also been affected conditioning-wise by the fact that he had surgery to repair a sports hernia in the summer. He has appeared 15 times so far, mostly off the bench, failing to score, which was instead his forte in previous seasons. He has dished out two assists in Coppa Italia.

It remains to be seen how much Nottingham Forest will bid for Frattes. They’ll have to lodge a more convincing proposal than Galatasaray, which tendered a €5M loan with a €30M option to buy, Calciomercato informs. Inter only want permanent transfers. The 26-year-old is open to moving to Turkey.

Juventus have been informed of his availability, and Luciano Spalletti holds him in high regard. However, they’d be able to do the deal only for the same formula as the Cimbom at this stage. The Bianconeri’s say and stake in the future of Tarik Muharemovic could be a bargaining chip, but Sassuolo aim to keep him in January.

Our Take on Inter and Frattesi

Such a high request for an underperforming player is basically a way to say that they don’t want to lose him. It’d be a masterstroke if the offers even came close. Only English clubs have that much ammo. He’s having a subpar season, but they don’t have many spring chickens in the midfield, so there’s hope for a future turnaround if he stays.
