Inter thrash Monsoon and clinch second win in the Gaúcho

In Porto Alegre, Internacional defeated Monsoon 4-0 this Wednesday, in the second round of the Campeonato Gaúcho. João Victor, Borré (twice), and Allex scored the goals for the Colorado victory.

Match Situation

With their second consecutive win, Internacional reached six points and took the lead in Group A. Monsoon, on the other hand, has only one point and sits at the bottom of Group B.

How was the match?

First half

Internacional started the match pressing and almost opened the scoring just 20 seconds in, when João Bezerra shot across goal and the ball went just wide.

The first goal came at the 38th minute of the first half. After Monsoon defender Yuri mistimed his challenge, João Victor gained possession, sped into the box, and slotted the ball into the back of the net.

Second half

In the second half, Inter extended their lead at 16 minutes. João Victor passed to Aguirre, who sent a low cross into the box, and Borré finished first-time to score the second.

At 35 minutes, Borré found the net again, taking advantage of a set-piece and heading the ball into the goal. At 42 minutes, Allex sealed the rout in Porto Alegre with a stunning goal into the top corner after an assist from Borré.
