Inter are weighing a move for Fiorentina right-back Dodo after missing out on Marco Palestra to Chelsea.
They had been ready to spend €45m plus €5m in add-ons to sign the Atalanta defender, only for Chelsea to outbid them at €60m including bonuses last night. According to Sportitalia, the Brazilian has now emerged as their leading alternative within Serie A.
Dodo is under contract until June 2027 and talks over a renewal have proved difficult. His price is said to be around €15m, far below the Palestra fee.
Inter are not alone, with Max Allegri’s Napoli also considering him.
Their first choice would be Anan Khalaili of Union Saint-Gilloise, so Dodo would be a back-up. The 27-year-old joined Fiorentina from Shakhtar Donetsk for €15.4m in 2022 and recorded two goals and three assists in 47 games this season.
