Jeremy Doku assisted Belgium’s second of the evening to help his nation complete a 4-2 comeback win over Wales.

The City winger was deployed on the right and featured for the full fixture.

After Joe Rodon gave the hosts the lead in their World Cup Qualifier match, former Blue Kevin De Bruyne converted from the spot on 18 minutes to level the score.

The Red Devils were awarded the penalty after Charles De Ketelaere’s shot hit Ethan Ampadu’s arm from close range.

Belgium used the momentum to their advantage, and utilised Doku's speed to get in behind Wales.

Doku latched on to a big, long ball out to the far-right corner. The lightning-quick winger played a perfectly weighted pass into the path of Thomas Meunier, who didn’t even have to break his stride as he fired his first-time finish into the roof of the Wales net to make it 2-1.

The hosts enjoyed more of the ball in the second half as they searched for a way back into the match. But another penalty for Belgium, this time for a handball by Jordan James, saw De Bruyne double his nation’s lead with 15 left to play.

And it was a dramatic ending to the game. Substitute Nathan Broadhead’s strike on 89 minutes gave Wales a glimmer of hope.

But Belgium retaliated instantly, with Doku involved in the quick attack that led to Leandro Trossard restoring the visitors’ two-goal lead shortly before the full-time whistle.

The four points from two games means Belgium move to the top of Group J.

Elsewhere, Rico Lewis played the full match of England Under-21s’ 1-0 win over Andorra to see the Young Lions go top of Group D in their U21 EURO qualifiers.

The versatile City defender featured at left-back, and had fellow Academy star Max Alleyne, who is on loan at Watford, deployed next to him at left centre-back.

The duo helped their nation keep a third consecutive clean sheet after Chelsea forward Tyrique George gave England the lead just before half-time.

Divin Mubama, who is on a season-long loan at Stoke, entered the fold as a second-half substitute.

It completes the international break for Lee Carsley's England Under-21s, who beat Moldova 4-0 last week, with Lewis and Mubama on the scoresheet.
