Inter are on course to obtain temporary control of the top spot in Serie A as they enjoy a 2-0 lead at half-time against Genoa.
In the wake of bitter rival Milan and fellow Scudetto challenger Napoli both stumbling earlier today, Cristian Chivu's Nerazzurri have strikes from Yann Aurel Bisseck and captain Lautaro Martínez to thank, with the Argentine hit man once again coming into focus.

His goal in the 38th minute was his fourth in his last three Serie A appearances for the Italian giant, putting him on eight league goals for the 2025/26 season.
With that, the 28-year-old pulls one goal ahead of Milan's Christian Pulisic in the race for the Paolo Rossi Award.
More impressively, Martínez is now just one of seven players who have been directly involved in at least 10 goals in each of the last seven seasons across the Big-5 European leagues, alongside Kylian Mbappé, Erling Haaland, and Harry Kane.

Having already finished as the top goal-getter in Serie A in 2023/24 with 24 goals, Martínez's final-third instincts could once again be a catalyst for Inter pushing for top domestic.
