Inter are closely monitoring the progress of Marco Palestra, as the wing-back continues to impress during his loan spell with Cagliari.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Nerazzurri view the Atalanta-owned talent as a high-priority target for the summer. However, the operation is financially complex; Atalanta currently values the 21-year-old at over €40m. The key to unlocking this move lies in the potential sale of Luis Henrique. Inter believes that offloading the Brazilian for a fee in the region of €25m would provide the necessary capital to meet La Dea’s steep asking price.
Bournemouth had tried to sign the Brazilian in January but their approach was rejected.
Negotiations between the two clubs are not expected to be straightforward, particularly following Inter’s failed pursuit of Ademola Lookman in previous windows. That breakdown in talks has created a cautious atmosphere between the two hierarchies. Despite the hurdles, Inter remains determined to secure Palestra, seeing him as the ideal profile to rejuvenate their wide options for the 2026/27 campaign.
