Ipswich Town are keen to strengthen their forward options before Monday's 7pm deadline
Ipswich Town are tracking Newcastle United forward Will Osula as we reach the final stages of the January transfer window.
According to the East Anglian Daily Times, the Dane is among a number of names being spoken about as a potential option to strengthen Kieran McKenna’s first team squad.
The Tractor Boys have been searching for reinforcements to their attack throughout the winter market, but have been unable to get any deals over the line.
Anis Mehmeti and Dan Neil have joined so far for the Tractor Boys and more players could be arriving through the Portman Road door in the coming days.
But the 2 February deadline means that time is running out for Ipswich to find any further additions that can bolster their push for a play-off place.

It has been claimed that Osula has emerged as a potential transfer target for Ipswich this month amid their striker search.
The Tractor Boys have previously been linked with the likes of Joel Piroe and Sam Surridge, but no deal has come to fruition.
It is hoped that the 22-year-old’s lack of game time could lead the Magpies into agreeing a loan deal, with both Nick Woltemade and Yoane Wissa both ahead of him in the pecking order.
Ipswich are running out of time to secure a striker signing, with the market set to shut at 7pm this Monday.
It remains to be seen whether any of these players can be convinced to move to Portman Road.
Osula has made just 10 appearances in the Premier League so far this season, all bar one of which came as a substitute.
He has also played twice in this season’s Champions League for Eddie Howe’s side, providing a goal and an assist in these 12 games.
Next up for Ipswich is a home clash against Preston North End on Saturday in a 3pm kick-off.

Osula hasn’t been afforded the chance to play regularly at a Premier League level this season, so the step down to the Championship might be what he needs.
McKenna has proven himself as a coach that can help younger players to improve, so this could be a smart option for Newcastle to loan him out.
It could be a deal that works out well for both parties, but the risk is that Newcastle could be left a little short in attack if one of Wissa or Woltemade gets injured.
