Ipswich Town and West Bromwich Albion drew 0-0 at the Hawthorns, a result that lifts Ipswich to second in the Championship and drops West Bromwich Albion to 20th.
Early on, Nathaniel Phillips twice threatened from set pieces and Isaac Price drew a save, as West Bromwich Albion made the sharper start.
Christian Walton kept the Tractor Boys level with six saves, notably thwarting Daryl Dike either side of the interval. Max O'Leary then denied Darnell Furlong after the restart and pushed away Jaden Philogene's strike as the visitors pressed.
Midway through the second half, Kieran McKenna introduced Marcelino Núñez and Philogene, and the visitors found more width. George Hirst later steered a close-range chance wide.
The fourth official indicated five minutes of stoppage time, but neither side carved out a late winner.
