Michael Olise has matured from an unknown newcomer to an indispensable fixture at FC Bayern. The Frenchman has not only earned himself a regular place under Vincent Kompany, but also shapes Munich’s attacking play with a naturalness that is rare even at Säbener Strasse. However, it is precisely this development that has not gone unnoticed – and is now bringing the record champions back into the focus of the European transfer elite
As transfer insider Ekrem Konur reports, four heavyweights are intensively involved with Olise: FC Arsenal, Liverpool FC, Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain are said to be examining whether a transfer of the 24-year-old is feasible
According to reports, possible offers are already being discussed internally and could be presented in Munich in the near future. Although Olise is still under contract with FC Bayern until 2029, he has apparently long been considered a player for whom extraordinary sums would have to be paid

From Bayern’s point of view, the situation is clear. Olise is not only a key player, but also a central element of the club’s future plans. Ten goals and 14 assists in 25 competitive matches underline his enormous importance. Added to this is his versatility, his calmness in one-on-one situations and his ability to make the difference even in tight games – qualities that are not only valued, but urgently needed at FC Bayern
The financial hurdle is correspondingly high. According to Konur, interested clubs reckon that Bayern would only be willing to talk to him for between 130 and 140 million euros, should there be any movement at all. There is no exit clause, which gives FC Bayern maximum control. The transfer from Crystal Palace in the summer of 2024 for around 53 million euros already looks like a bargain from today’s perspective
The fact that FC Bayern are considering a sale does not fit in with the course of those responsible. In November, sporting director Christoph Freund made it unmistakably clear where the journey should take them. Olise is a player who they can imagine wearing the Bayern jersey for „seven, eight or nine years“. Statements that were understood internally as a clear signal: Olise should not become the next transfer target, but a mainstay of the coming years
Especially in the context of FC Bayern’s strategic reorientation, which increasingly focuses on players in their prime, Olise plays a key role. He combines individual class with team-oriented play and fits perfectly into the intensive, variable soccer that Vincent Kompany has implemented. A sale – even at an extremely high price – would create a significant gap in the sport
The fact that top clubs are nevertheless making enquiries is ultimately an expression of Olise’s rapid rise. For FC Bayern, this is less of a problem than a confirmation of its own transfer strategy. The record champions invested early, trusted consistently – and are now reaping the rewards in terms of both sport and market strategy.
