After Kenan Yıldız and Can Uzun, Paul Wanner was the latest player to swap allegiances, and now Germany could be set to lose another talent.

Speaking to Bild, Noël Aséko Nkili, on loan at Hannover from Bayern Munich, has represented Germany’s youth teams, but hasn’t ruled out representing Equatorial Guinea.

“My parents are from Equatorial Guinea and my family lives there,” said the 20-year-old. “The federation has already asked if I’d like to play for them, but I don’t have an Equatorial Guinea passport.”

When asked if he would be interested in representing his family’s country, Aséko revealed: “You shouldn’t rule out any options. Everything is possible.”

Aséko has featured 26 times across all competitions for Hannover this season, scoring three goals and providing five assists. Additionally, the central-midfielder has represented Bayern II on 30 occasions and has been on the bench for the first team seven times.
