Ismaïla Sarr netted his fourth goal of the 2026 World Cup as Senegal moved 2-0 up on Belgium shortly after half-time.
L'Équipe notes the winger capped a sweeping move with immaculate chest control and a powerful right-footed finish.
Habib Diarra had earlier put the Lions of Teranga ahead on 25 minutes, giving them a platform at the interval.
The second began with Moussa Niakhaté releasing Sarr from his own half, Arthur Theate and Brandon Mechele left trailing as the former Rennes forward raced clear to beat Thibaut Courtois.
Before scoring, Sarr struck the woodwork twice, underlining Senegal’s threat as they took a significant step towards the last 16, as in 2022 and 2002.
