Arthur Atta is making the leap in his second year at Udinese, and several top Serie A and foreign teams have started to inquire about his availability and price tag. Scouts from Juventus, Napoli, Milan, and Inter have been spotted in the stands of the Stadio Friuli in recent games, Tuttomercatoweb reports.
From abroad, PSG have been keeping close tabs on the French talent, who got his start at Metz. Manchester City, Chelsea, and Barcelona have also made some phone calls to collect information.
The Sky Blues and the Blaugrana have been the most active in the race to sign Atta, which will heat up next summer. The clubs are positioning themselves to gain the inside track before the starlet fully blooms and his valuation skyrockets.
The midfielder has become the technical leader of the Bianconeri this campaign, but he’s not scoring or assisting a lot. The suitors aim to be ready to pounce once he turns the corner in the final third. Udinese signed him on an initial loan last year and eventually redeemed him for €8M. He has notched 2 goals and 2 helpers in 41 games since moving to Italy. He put up comparable numbers at Metz.
Italian sides would be smart in grabbing an early advantage while he’s not overly pricey, as his talent is manifest, and it won’t be long before he puts it all together and turns into a superb offensive-minded box-to-box. However, the Friulani are very savvy when it comes to selling and won’t botch the timing to earn as much as they can. They’ll hold onto him as long as they feel like he still has room to grow.
