Defender Alessandro Bastoni will get a rest in tomorrow’s Serie A match between Como and Inter Milan.
This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews. They report that Carlos Augusto will start the final league match of the season.
Inter Milan take on Como in Serie A tomorrow evening.
It will be the Nerazzurri’s final league outing of what has been a long and intense campaign.
Inter will have a couple names back in the squad from injury. Captain Lautaro Martinez and midfielder Davide Frattesi will both be available, having missed matches against Torino and Lazio.
Meanwhile, Benjamin Pavard will still be absent as he continues to recover from an ankle sprain.
Then, Alessandro Bastoni will be available. The Italian international is not dealing with a notable injury.
However, the Gazzetta reports, Inter coach Simone Inzaghi is still thinking about managing Bastoni’s fitness.

Bastoni has been Inter Milan’s most-used outfield player this season.
That was exemplified by the fact that the 26-year-old was the only regular starter to keep his place in Inter’s Serie A win against Torino. That was just a couple days after the Champions League semifinal second leg against Barcelona.
Therefore, there would naturally be some concerns of fatigue for Bastoni.
The long season is certainly wearing on a lot of Inter’s players. But above all, Bastoni has rarely missed a match.
Therefore, Nerazzurri coach Simone Inzaghi will be cautious with Bastoni ahead of the Champions League final.
Inter take on Paris Saint-Germain at the end of the month. Clearly, the priority will be to have Bastoni fresh for that match.
Therefore, reports the Gazzetta, Inzaghi will rest Bastoni from the start against Como tomorrow. Accordingly, it will be Carlos Augusto who plays on the left of Inter’s back three.
