Ivan Baptista wins March coaching award as Benfica close on title | OneFootball

Benfica, coached by Ivan Baptista, have been named Liga BPI’s best coaching team for March. The women’s side remain unbeaten and top after 15 rounds.

According to Glorioso 1904, the accolade recognises Baptista and his staff’s work during a demanding campaign. The vote was carried out by the league’s head coaches.

The presentation took place at Seixal after a training session, where Baptista underlined that the credit was collective. In the presence of Liga BPI ambassador Ana Teixeira, he shared the accolade with his entire backroom team.

The honour arrives at a decisive juncture, with Benfica close to making history. They could seal a sixth successive title in the next round if they win away to Braga.

The 16th-round match is set for Saturday 25 April at 18:30 at Estádio Amélia Morais in Braga, where they could lift the trophy.
