Lazio goalkeeper Ivan Provedel describes the mood in the team’s locker room following the 1-3 defeat at the hands of Parma.

Lazio Fall Short Against Parma

The Biancocelesti conceded an early goal through Dennis Man while Anas Haj Mohamed doubled the Crociati’s lead after the break. Taty Castellanos pulled one back for the Biancocelesti who then surged forward in search of a late equalizer, but ended up conceding on the counter-attack in the process.

Ivan Provedel Angered by Defeat

In his post-match interview with Lazio Style Channel (via La Lazio Siamo Noi), Provedel reveals he and his teammates are angry and regretful after seeing their five-match winning streak collapse.

We fell anger and regret because we came here with the right spirit. But unfortunately, a few deteails costed us dearly, and we conceded two goals. I don’t even want to consider the third, which we could have avoided. I hope that this only gives us great energy ahead of the upcoming two matches against Napoli [in the Coppa Italia and Serie A].

Team Spirit & Unity

Nevertheless, the Italian goalkeeper insists the Lazio players remain more united than ever despite the disappointing result.

The team spirit is there and the group is united. We all follow the coach’s instrunctions. Regret must be the base from which we must always start, the attitude must be impeccable and then the rest is a mere consequence. We made some mistakes, even a few too many technical errors. We will do everything to improve starting tomorrow.

Impeded by the Chaotic Match Opening

Provedel felt that Nicolo Rovella’s disallowed goal followed by Parma’s opener had taken its toll on the team’s morale, which played a major role in the defeat.

Finding yourself ahead at the start of the match and then suddenly realizing you’re trailing certainly had an impact. However, this cannot be an alibi as we must not let ourselves be influenced by events that were out of our control.
