Tottenham Hotspur attacker Mikey Moore has revealed that he has heard good things about newly-appointed boss Thomas Frank and is excited to get going under him.

Moore, currently on international duty with England’s Under-19 team, earned his first-team debut for Tottenham under recently sacked manager Ange Postecoglou.

He has since notched up 21 senior appearances for the side, all of which have come under the 59-year-old, and is now a firm part of the first team squad.

A new era now beckons Tottenham under newly-appointed manager Frank, who is yet to meet his new team after having only taken over on Thursday.

Moore has played against Frank’s team in the Premier League and, therefore, is not completely unaware of his playing style.

The 17-year-old insists that he has also gathered further information on the 51-year-old from his England Under-19 team-mate Jayden Meghoma.

The excitement, therefore, is visible in Moore to play under his new boss when he returns for the new season.

“I started away at Brentford, where obviously he was in charge, and I’ve played against his team before”, Moore told the Press Association.

“I’ve heard that he’s a good man and he’s a good manager.

“One of the boys here [with the Under-19s] works under him and says good things about him, so I’m just excited to get going under him, really.”

Moore and his team-mates are currently playing in the European Under-19 Championship, where they are scheduled to play Norway in a group stage match on Saturday.

It remains to be seen what impression he leaves on Frank after returning to the club for Tottenham’s pre-season.

In case Tottenham decide to loan him out, there is not expected to be a lack of suitors.

There has also been interest in Moore from German club Borussia Dortmund, who have just added Jobe Bellingham to their ranks.

USG works with other English players such as Crystal Palace’s Marc Guehi, Newcastle United’s Anthony Gordon and Arsenal’s Ethan Nwaneri.

At this stage of his career, having already tasted senior football at the highest level, Moore will want to make sure that he keeps on playing and improving.
