Nicolas Jackson is seizing his chance at FC Bayern – and is apparently also attracting international attention. Several top Serie A clubs are said to be keeping a close eye on the on-loan striker

Nicolas Jackson has caught the eye at FC Bayern in recent weeks. In the absence of the ailing Harry Kane, the Senegalese has recently been given more opportunities to start and has put in strong performances

In both the 4-1 win against Borussia Mönchengladbach and the 6-1 victory over Atalanta Bergamo in the Champions League, Jackson impressed and made an important impact

His performances have apparently not gone unnoticed internationally either, with calciomercato.com reporting that several top Italian Serie A clubs are interested in the attacker

AC Milan, Juventus and Napoli interested

According to the report, three clubs in particular are currently in the spotlight: AC Milan, Juventus and SSC Napoli

All three clubs are said to have been monitoring Jackson for some time and see the Senegalese as an interesting option for next summer

In an interview with transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Jackson’s advisor Ali Barat confirmed that Italy could in principle be an exciting destination for the striker, although there are currently no concrete negotiations between the clubs

There is already speculation in Italy that Jackson could return to the transfer market in the summer, a scenario that is certainly considered realistic

Although FC Bayern has an option to buy the player on loan from Chelsea FC, this is said to be around €65 million – a sum that Munich are unlikely to invest as things stand

Instead, Chelsea could try to sell the attacker elsewhere in the summer – or persuade him to sign a new loan deal with an option to buy

Bayern coach Kompany praises Jackson

Despite his unclear future, Jackson continues to collect points at FC Bayern. So far this season, the 24-year-old has made 24 appearances and scored seven goals – many of them after coming on as a substitute

Coach Vincent Kompany has recently expressed his satisfaction with the development of his attacker: „I’m happy for Jacko. He has shown his ability, hopefully soon again,“ explained the Bayern coach

However, the starting position remains complicated. Behind Harry Kane, regular starting appearances are hard to come by, which is precisely why a move to Serie A could be an interesting prospect for Jackson.
