Jakob Breum signs for Saint-Étienne from Go Ahead Eagles, takes No 10 | OneFootball

AS Saint-Étienne have signed Danish attacking midfielder Jakob Breum, 22, from Go Ahead Eagles. The club said in a statement he has agreed a deal to 2030 and will wear number 10.

The fee is estimated at more than €3m. He adds options in the final third, noted for his passing and ball-carrying.

A product of Odense, the Denmark Under-21 international, capped six times, moved to the Eredivisie club in 2023.

He helped the team win the Dutch Cup in 2025, which brought European football. He featured in the Europa League and faced Olympique Lyonnais, who won 2-1 in the group stage on 11 December last year.

Over three years with Go Ahead Eagles he produced 20 goals and 17 assists in 105 appearances.

Breum becomes Saint-Étienne’s second signing for 2026-2027 after Algeria defender Sohaib Naïr, 24, arrived from Guingamp.
