Jamal Musiala has undergone surgery after the World Cup as part of his post-injury protocol, and will be back before the start of Bayern Munich’s season.
Bayern Munich said in a statement on Monday 6 July that the procedure formed part of the standard medical plan following his serious injury last summer.
The Germany international suffered a fractured fibula and a dislocated left ankle last summer in the Club World Cup quarter-final against Paris Saint-Germain. He then needed six months to return to action.
After his comeback, he featured at the end of the league campaign as Bayern won the Bundesliga title, and also played in several Champions League games.
Musiala, 23, also took part in the 2026 World Cup, although Germany were eliminated in the last 32 by Paraguay.
He will be ready in time for Bayern’s first official fixture.
