Tavernier joined the Light Blues in 2015 and has been an important star for the club over the last 11 seasons, helping them secure promotion from the Scottish Championship at the end of his debut season.

The Englishman and Rangers have decided to part ways in the summer, and he will not be short of suitors in Europe given his huge experience, versatility and quality.

Tavernier has made 562 appearances for the Bears, scoring 144 goals and weighing in with 148 assists.

He is already an Ibrox legend and hero, and Rangers fans will miss him given his years of service and utmost dedication.

The veteran defender will now hope to leave the Light Blues with another Premiership title to his name having only won it in 2020-21.

Rangers are currently second in the league table ahead of the final five games of the campaign, with just one point separating them from leaders Hearts.

They host Motherwell on Sunday before a trip to Hearts on May 4. The Bears play Celtic next on May 10 at Parkhead before hosting Hibernian three days later.

A trip to Falkirk on May 16 is their last game of the league campaign and it could be the biggest match of the season if the title race goes down to the wire.

Tavernier will put in his best in his remaining games as a Rangers player, and his teammates also have to step up and get the job done.
