Andrée Jeglertz has hinted that Grace Clinton could make her City debut this Friday against Tottenham Hotspur.
The England international joined the Club from Manchester United on transfer deadline day after helping the Lionesses win Euro 2025.
She wasn't included in the squad for either of City's two opening fixtures against Chelsea or Brighton, but our Head Coach confirmed she's been training all week with the team ahead of Friday's 19:30 (UK) clash.
Jeglertz also provided an update on fellow midfielder Sydney Lohmann, though the German international's leg injury is likely to rule her out for a little longer.
"Grace has been training fully with the team this week," he said ahead of our trip to Spurs.
"Tomorrow is the last session so we’ll see how that goes, but she's definitely on her way.
"Sydney [Lohmann] is on her way, (but) most likely not really ready."
Our Head Coach also heaped praise on City's goalkeeping options, admitting the quality he had at his disposal made selection for matches difficult.
Ayaka Yamashita started the Blues' opening fixture against Chelsea, making a phenomenal save early on in a 2-1 defeat.
However, Khiara Keating was given the nod for our home opener against Brighton, with Eartha Cumings and Katie Startup also providing serious competition for places between the sticks.
And Jeglertz says every member of his goalkeeping contingent is pushing one another for a starting berth each week.
He added: "We have very competitive keepers. The one that is training best, performing good when they get the chance, will be in the goal.
"As long as the players know it's competitive, they know they won't be in all the time.
"They have to be at their maximum, then they have a good opportunity, all of them, to start the games."
