Shaped at OL after arriving from Grenoble at 14, Jérémy Pied made his mark despite fierce competition. Urged to try his luck elsewhere, he built a good career until 33, then began a career transition.

According to Le Progres, he still turns out on some unlikely pitches, scoring and setting up goals in the fourth district division with OGC Nice’s reserve team, which includes club employees and a few ex-pros.

Even a ruptured Achilles tendon last year did not curb his drive. He ran three marathons in three months, coupled with CrossFit sessions and football training with the reserve and with the Mougins women’s team.

Now 36, he lives with his family in the south and still loves the game.

Those formative years at OL opened horizons he keeps exploring.
