The race to sign Aston Villa centre-forward Jhon Duran (21) is heating up as Real Madrid have joined PSG and Saudi Pro League Al-Nassr in the running to sign the free-scoring Colombia international, according to Foot Mercato. The 21-year-old has taken the Premier League by storm with his performances upfront. Duran has logged 12 goals so far this season in 28 appearances in all competitions under Unai Emery’s tutelage. Aston Villa recently tied Duran to a new contract, tying him to Villa Park until 2030.
Foot Mercato understands that Villa have previously rejected a €75m bid from PSG to sign Duran. Les Parisiens head coach Luis Enrique intends to bolster his attacking options as Randal Kolo Muani has been loaned out to Juventus while Gonçalo Ramos and the injury-prone Marco Asensio are more considered as squad options by the Spaniard. PSG is set to be rivaled by La Liga giants Real Madrid in the race to sign Duran with the outlet reporting that the Merengues are looking to lure the Colombia international. Real Madrid would even be ready to loan out Brazil international prospect Endrick, to save Duran a spot.
The latter is more interested in a move to Saudi Pro League Al-Nassr, Foot Mercato reports.
