Joan Laporta has announced today the date on which FC Barcelona will call the next presidential elections.

"On the 9th, the election call will be published, and then, as the statutes say, some of the board members will have to resign to run for re-election, and that will be in a meeting we will hold next Monday, the 9th," explained the president before the lunch with the Albacete Balompié board prior to the Copa del Rey quarter-finals.
