Jonathan David set for fresh round of Napoli talks | OneFootball

Jonathan David (25) has already confirmed his departure from Lille OSC, however, his next destination still remains unclear, with interest from across Europe.

As reported by Fabrizio Romano earlier this month, the most concrete and advanced option for the Canada international is Napoli.

As per L’Équipe, Aston Villa, Tottenham Hotspur, and Juventus are all interested in a move for David, whose contract expires at the end of next month. The centre-forward has already played his final game for LOSC and has publicly confirmed his departure. It had been reported by Romano earlier in the month that Napoli were in advanced talks to sign the Canada international.

Romano now adds that Napoli’s offer remains the “most important” one at his disposal. Talks between David and the recently crowned Italian champions are at an advanced stage, although an agreement on a release clause has yet to be reached. There will be a fresh round of talks this week.
