Ahead of the upcoming 2026-27 campaign, Bayern Munich's Jonathan Tah revealed his goals for the season to Sky Germany.
“We want to pick up where we left off last season. We all felt it was a very special campaign, and that was because we worked hard on ourselves from day one and gave everything in every single match.
“Even when things weren't always perfect, smooth, or clicking, we always managed to stick together as a team and create an atmosphere that made us feel we could achieve anything,” he added.
When asked about looking for areas to improve his own game, the central defender feels it's more about fine-tuning his skills rather than desperately needing to catch up.
“In the end, it's always the little details you can work on. I wouldn't say there was one aspect where I felt I was clearly lacking or where I'd say, 'That's simply not good enough.'
"It's more about refining the details. In football, especially in the biggest and most important matches, it's those fine margins that make the difference.
"That's why it's so important to keep working on them. We'll do that together as a team, and I'll do it on a personal level as well.
“I also want to continue building on the role I've taken on here and the one I want to have, by taking on even more responsibility and helping the team win matches,” Tah explained.
