Wales set up a final round game for second place after a narrow win away to Liechtenstein.
Craig Bellamy was sat in the stands serving his suspension as he saw his side dominate but struggle to find the net against the minnows.
Nathan Broadhead really should have put his side ahead in the 22nd minute after a great ball from Jordan James. The Wrexham man managed to get around goalkeeper Benjamin Büchel but shot over when he really should have found an empty net.
Just a few minutes later, Broadhead did find the net. A corner was not dealt with by the Lichtenstein defence with the ball eventually falling to Broadhead who buried his effort. However, VAR intervened and sent the referee to the monitor who judged that Jordan James' interference from an offside as he got in the way of the goalkeeper's punch that landed to the feet of Broadhead.
The Welsh went into half-time surprisingly goalless but no doubt knew their control of the ball would eventually result in a goal.
It took over an hour but that goal eventually came in after a clever throughball found Daniel James who put in a low cross across the face of goal for Justin James to finish from close range.
Just a minute after putting his side ahead, the Leicester City man picked up a yellow card that will put him out of the final game against North Macedonia. Late on, an unnecessary challenge from Ethan Ampadu also meant that he will miss Tuesday's game.
Liechtenstein offered very little going forward but did provide a late scare when Willi Pizzi put in a cross from the left that Sandro Wolfinger blazed over.
It wasn't always pretty but a win was all Wales needed in order to try secure second place against North Macedonia.
