Wolves striker Jorgen Strand Larsen (25) has committed his future to Molineux after signing a new five-year contract, with an option for a further year, extending his stay until 2030, BBC Sport reports.

The Norway international, who joined permanently from Celta Vigo for £23m following a successful loan spell, had attracted significant interest over the summer, with Wolves rejecting bids of £50m and £55m from Newcastle. His 14 goals last season proved crucial as the Midlands club avoided relegation, finishing 16th in the Premier League.

Although sidelined in recent weeks with an Achilles injury, the 25-year-old remains central to Wolves’ long-term plans. Manager Vítor Pereira, who himself signed a new three-year deal on Thursday, hailed the forward’s influence both on and off the pitch. “He’s not just tactical and technical, he’s about spirit and personality,” Pereira said. “He is very important for us and it’s very good news for the club.”

Strand Larsen has scored twice so far this campaign, both in the EFL Cup victory over West Ham, and is expected to play a pivotal role once fit as Wolves seek to arrest their poor start. They remain bottom of the table ahead of Saturday’s home fixture against Leeds.
