Incoming Real Madrid head coach José Mourinho has added a fresh name to the club’s transfer watchlist for the summer ahead.
This comes amid the understanding that the Portuguese has made known his admiration for fellow countryman Gonçalo Inácio.
Real Madrid of course carried forth what has been an altogether productive opening to the summer transfer window across the week to date.
With deals for all of Denzel Dumfries, Ibrahima Konaté and Bernardo Silva already in the bag, Los Blancos made official the signing of Spanish international Marc Cucurella from Chelsea.
As alluded to above, though, if the latest word stemming from the Spanish media is anything to go by, then Mourinho is not yet satisfied with his options at the back…
As per a report from journalist Ruben Martin of Diario AS, the returning Real Madrid boss remains keen to bring in another central defender.
And with as much in mind, ‘Mou’ has informed Florentino Pérez and co. to turn their focus towards Sporting CP standout Gonçalo Inácio.
The Portuguese international, 24 years of age and left-footed, would be expected to set any interested party back a sum in the region of €60 million.
