Josuha Guilavogui has retired at 35 after leaving Leeds in July 2025 and remaining without a club.

More than 17 years after his professional debut, he confirmed the decision in an Instagram video. The Toulon-born player posted a farewell message to football, reflecting that the game let him fulfil his father’s dream, which became his own, and that it chose him.

Guilavogui came through at Saint-Étienne and built much of his career in Germany with Wolfsburg.

He was also on the books at Atlético Madrid from 2013 to 2016, featuring in only seven matches.

His final stop was Leeds, with whom he won the Championship in 2025, before departing that July.

Capped seven times by France between 2013 and 2015, he now calls time on his career.
