In a recent report, journalist Mark Brus mentioned that Tottenham Hotspur are confident about recruiting Manchester City ace Savinho. It is understood that Spurs are eyeing a move to acquire the services of the Brazilian wide player this year.
Savinho has enjoyed a decent campaign at the Mancunian club after he put in a string of impressive performances at the centre of the park. The Brazilian sensation has found the back of the net twice and earned three assists in 23 matches for Man City this season across various competitions.
The 21-year-old has proven his worth in the final third as he is averaging 2.0 shots per 90 minutes in the Premier League. He has kept 50% of his attempts on target. Savinho has even distributed possession relatively well based on his pass completion rate of 79.4% in the English top tier (stats via fbref.com).
His current contract at the Mancunian club will expire in the summer of 2031. Hence, Spurs would have to make a big offer if they are serious about recruiting Savinho this year.

Savinho is a good dribbler with the ball at his feet and has got the eye to play some decisive passes on the offensive end of the pitch. He can strike the ball with power from long range and can contribute by scoring and creating his fair share of goals up top when he is playing regularly on the field.
The Brazilian sensation is primarily a left-sided wide player but can also fill in as a right-winger or play in the number ten position if required. He is already quite familiar with the Premier League and won’t take much time to settle into life at Tottenham.
We can expect Savinho to add more firepower to Spurs boss Thomas Frank’s attack. He is good enough to compete for a regular first-team spot at the North London club.
At 21, Savinho has got the potential to be a future star in English football. With all things considered, Tottenham should consider trying everything they can to lure him to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium as he would be a great fit for them in the long run.
