The summer transfer window is really starting to ramp up. Liverpool have already secured the signings of Jeremy Jacquet and Victor Munoz, but attention now may turn to potential exits.
The future of Curtis Jones remains a major talking point, since interest from Inter Milan surfaced back in January.
In the past week, the Serie A champions launched a £21.7m bid to sign Jones, but Liverpool were quick to shoot down such an approach.
That has left any potential deal in doubt, with Liverpool valuing the midfielder at £35m. However, another club has reportedly joined the race for Jones this summer…
According to Tom Collomosse for the Daily Mail, Nottingham Forest have joined the race to sign the 25-year-old.
Their interest comes as Elliot Anderson edges closer to a record-breaking move to Manchester City, with potential replacements already being considered.
“Forest are also thought to be considering Liverpool midfielder Curtis Jones,” the report reads.

“Jones has one year remaining on his contract and it is thought that the Reds will listen to offers for the 25-year-old, who is also of interest to Inter Milan.”
“The Italian Champions had a £21m bid rejected last week and it is thought Liverpool will not consider any offer below £35m.”
“The one issue is whether Jones, having been a useful but never a crucial player for his boyhood team, would be keen to join what he might deem a lower-ranked club.”
However, Liverpool are also facing a summer of uncertainty in the midfield department. It was a major weakness in their title defence under Arne Slot last season.
Whilst Jones is attracting serious interest, Alexis Mac Allister also faces an uncertain future after a disappointing campaign.
A number of names have been linked with a move to Anfield. At the beginning of the summer, Crystal Palace’s Adam Wharton was heavily linked but that interest has cooled.
Liverpool are admirers of Lille midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi, but face a major battle to sign the teenager.
Ligue 1 duo Lamine Camara and Mamadou Sangare have been mentioned, but it is yet to be seen whether Liverpool are willing to move for either of them.
The general consensus was that Liverpool had to strengthen in the middle of the park and that is before a potential exit for Curtis Jones. Some major decisions are on the horizon…
