Juan Martín Del Potro ‘to get involved in’ Boca politics ahead of 2027 elections | OneFootball

Juan Martín Del Potro “definitely wants to take part in Boca’s life”, José Beraldi said as talk builds around the club’s 2027 elections. He told Radio Mitre.

“He came to my house for a meal and we talked,” Beraldi said.

“He definitely wants to be involved at Boca, and I have already said yes. We should consider him because he adds value, and he is an international figure,” he added.

The interview also relayed that Del Potro was said to have urged unity and wanted a serious role, and that his box had been removed so he could not attend matches.

Beraldi has reappeared in the media after a long spell away. In 2019 he finished behind Jorge Amor Ameal, who won, and Christian Gribaudo, having previously lined up Gabriel Batistuta as his prospective manager.

Early moves ahead of 2027 are already evident, with Sebastián Battaglia recently backing presidential hopeful Jorge Reale.
