David Jurásek registered an assist in his first game for Slavia Prague, a 1-1 draw at FK Pardubice, the ground where he had said goodbye before moving to Benfica. According to Glorioso 1904, the Czech left-back impressed.
Head coach Jindrich Trpisovsky said the defender played better than he expected, quickly rejoined their routines and looked clear on his tasks. The left-back spot had opened after Malick Diouf’s move to West Ham.
He added that the 25-year-old brings dynamism, with Slavia previously attacking mostly down one side, and that having the other flank back is a boost. Full-backs are vital to their game, with most big chances coming from the wings.
Despite the draw, Slavia remain top after the 20th round on 46 points, five ahead of Sparta Prague.
Jurásek cost 3 million euros, having been sold to Benfica in 2023 for 14 million. This season he has 18 appearances, including 10 in the Turkish league, four in Europa Conference League qualifying, two in Europa League qualifying, one in the Cup of Türkiye and one in the Czech league. Across 1,124 minutes, he has not scored.
