Jurgen Klopp back in management after being confirmed as new Germany boss | OneFootball

Jurgen Klopp has returned to football management after taking over as Germany boss.

Klopp replaces Julian Nagelsmann, who left the role after Germany’s disappointing World Cup round of 32 exit to Paraguay.

It is the first managerial role Klopp has taken since leaving Liverpool two years ago, and has signed a deal which will run until 2030.

DFB president Bernd Neuendorf said: “We’ve had very intense discussions. He was our ideal solution from the start. And we at the DFB were unanimous in saying he was the candidate we had to talk to. Our talks with Jürgen only strengthened our belief that he’s the right man at the right time.”

“This role is the highlight of my career and I’ll give all I’ve got to be successful,” Klopp said.

His first game in charge of Germany will be against the Netherlands on 24 September in the Nations League.
