Juventus will reportedly send scouts to watch Manuel Ugarte in action for Uruguay at the Allianz Stadium tomorrow evening.
Marcelo Bielsa’s side take on Algeria in their final friendly of the March international break, after which the Manchester United midfielder will report back to Carrington in preparation for next week’s return to Premier League action.

The match taking place in Turin has opened the door for Juventus to get a closer look at their longstanding target, with La Gazzetta dello Sport (relayed by Football Italia) reporting that the Serie A giants will be in attendance.
What’s more, the outlet claims that the Old Lady have been firm admirers of Ugarte ever since he was plyng his trade for Sporting CP, and have made numerous attempts to gauge his interest in signing for them throughout his time with Paris Saint-Germain and, now, United.
The Red Devils agreed a deal worth £50.5 million to bring the player in from PSG in August 2024. He put pen to paper on a five-year deal, though it’s now expected he will be departing after only two years in M16.
Indeed, speculation over the last six months has suggested United are less than impressed with how Ugarte has fared in England, encouraging them to cut ties just 24 months into his contract.
He was already navigating a reduced role under Ruben Amorim throughout the first half of the term, but has now fallen even more out of favour since Michael Carrick took the reins in January.
Ugarte, 24, hasn’t started once in the 10 matches Carrick has been in the dugout for, with his six Premier League appearances all coming from the bench.
He has been an unused substitute for four whole matches and has accumulated only 65 minutes of action.
