Manchester United are ready to sign off on Toby Collyer’s move to Hull City ‘early next week’.
That’s according to Manchester World journalist Rich Fay this morning, who adds that the Tigers were ‘quietly confident’ they would add the midfielder to their ranks back in the summer before he opted for a switch to West Bromwich Albion.

Collyer then spent the first months of the campaign at The Hawthorns, until a serious calf injury led to his spell coming to a premature end.
He returned to Carrington at the start of December to start his rehabilitation with his parent club, after which United officially recalled him from his loan at the beginning of the year.
West Brom had originally hoped he would resume his season-long stint when he reached full fitness, but the 22-year-old is now on the verge of joining Hull instead.
In fairness, Collyer was only granted three Championship starts under former Baggies coach Ryan Mason, so you could understand him wanting to explore a new venture where he can feature more prominently.

United signed Collyer from Brighton and Hove Albion’s academy back in 2022 when he was only 18 years old.
He made his debut under Erik ten Hag in the Community Shield final in 2024, and has since earned a further 12 first-team appearances – six of which came in the Premier League.
In July 2024, he put pen to paper on a three-year deal to keep him tied to Old Trafford until 2027, plus the option of an additional 12 months.
