Justin de Haas joins Valencia CF until 2030 | OneFootball

Valencia CF announced on Wednesday that 26-year-old Dutch centre-back Justin de Haas has joined. He becomes the first addition to Corberán’s squad after eight players departed on 1 July at the end of their deals, with Guido among those who could yet remain.

The agreement runs to 2030, covering the next four seasons, after he ended his spell with FC Famalicão. Born in Zaandam on 1/2/2000, he has established himself in Liga de Portugal since his 2023 arrival.

Comfortable initiating play from the left side of defence, he couples a 1.94-metre frame with assured distribution. His physical presence and ball use make him a modern centre-back capable of adding reliability, solidity, balance and progression to Valencia’s back line.

In 25-26 Famalicão finished fifth in the Portuguese championship. De Haas was a mainstay, starting 33 matches, completing 90 minutes in each, and scoring 6 goals, underlining his influence at both ends.

He arrives to help reshape the centre of Valencia’s defence as the club rebuilds a squad with aims more in keeping with its history.
