Chelsea defender Benoît Badiashile is the latest name to end up on Juventus’s watchlist ahead of the January transfer window, according to reports in Italy, as the Bianconeri look to find a temporary solution in the absence of the injured Gleison Bremer.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Badiashile is among the list of centre-backs that Juve’s sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli is currently monitoring.
The Frenchman is out of favour under Enzo Maresca at Stamford Bridge. He has played just 37 minutes of Premier League action, plus three starts in the UEFA Conference League, which suggests that Chelsea could listen to reasonable offers for his transfer.
The 23-year-old is one of several Premier League centre-backs who have been linked with a move to Turin in recent weeks, along with Tottenham’s Radu Dragusin, Fulham’s Joachim Andersen and Arsenal’s Jakub Kiwior. Milan Skriniar and David Hancko have also been suggested as possible options.
Juventus are hoping to add another centre-back to their ranks in January following the cruciate ligament (ACL) injury suffered by Bremer at the beginning of October. Juve’s defensive concerns were worsened when Juan Cabal was diagnosed with the same injury earlier this week.
