Reports are growing in Italy that Juventus will intensify their pursuit of OGC Nice defender Jean-Clair Todibo, who was already in talks with Manchester United and West Ham United.

The centre-back would’ve gone to Old Trafford, but seeing as their owners INEOS are also in charge of Nice, the transfer was effectively blocked by UEFA.

West Ham dived in, but as soon as Todibo heard that Juventus were interested, he put them on hold and preferred to wait for the Bianconeri.

Now Sportitalia transfer expert Alfredo Pedullà maintains that the asking price can be significantly lower than €40m and they can cut the cost even more by including a player as part of the deal.

They have options who are of interest to Nice, including Arkadiusz Milik and winger Filip Kostic.

Juventus already did a deal with Nice this week for Khephren Thuram and no doubt discussed Todibo during the same negotiations with the Ligue 1 club.

He is 24 years old and made the move from Barcelona to Nice initially on loan in February 2021, then on a permanent basis that summer for €8.5m.
