Juventus plan double Chelsea summit for Veiga and Chilwell | OneFootball

Italian sources claim Juventus will meet Chelsea on Monday to discuss both Renato Veiga and Ben Chilwell, especially if Manchester City stump up the cash for Andrea Cambiaso.

There had already been suggestions from transfer pundit Fabrizio Romano this evening that Veiga was the latest name on the Juve wish-list to reinforce their defence.

Now Sportitalia expert Alfredo Pedullà claims that there is a summit planned with Chelsea for Juventus directors on Monday that will involve two names.

The other is Chilwell, who had already been linked with the Bianconeri back in November and seems to have no real future at Stamford Bridge.

While Veiga can also play left-back, he would primarily be brought in to cover for long-term injury absentee Gleison Bremer in central defence.

Chilwell could cover the gap if Juventus were to sell Cambiaso to Manchester City, who are ready to pay over €70m to purchase the Italy international left-back.

Newcastle United player Lloyd Kelly also remains on the radar, as Juve seem to be shopping in the Premier League for reinforcements in the January window.
