Juventus are advancing conversations with Manchester United over a possible deal for Jadon Sancho.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, the Serie A side are reportedly planning a video call with the English club today, the 25th of June, to explore the feasibility of bringing the winger to Turin.
Sancho spent last season on loan at Chelsea but failed to secure a permanent move.
His stint at Stamford Bridge ends on 30 June. Chelsea are understood to be facing a £5 million penalty after an agreement on personal terms with the winger could not be reached.
Sancho’s future at United remains uncertain following his high-profile fallout with former manager Erik ten Hag.
The Dutchman exiled Sancho from the first team, triggering the winger’s departure on loan last season.
While Juventus have now taken the initiative, they are not the only club interested.
Turkish giants Fenerbahce have reportedly tabled a £15 million bid for the 25 year old and head coach Jose Mourinho is believed to have spoken directly with the player.
Sancho’s wages have been a stumbling block for several suitors.
Offloading his salary would be advantageous for Man United, even if the transfer fee falls short of their original £73 million outlay.
For United, a sale would represent a financial and strategic reset. For Juventus, it could be a calculated risk to revitalise a player whose stock has fallen but whose talent remains.
With the transfer window officially opening, a resolution appears imminent. Today’s video call could set the tone for the coming weeks.
