Sometimes players return. Not to a former club, but to prominence, to relevance. For Jadon Sancho, the page turns again in the story of his turbulent career. According to Corriere Dello Sport, Juventus have reignited their interest in the 24-year-old winger. “On Damien Comolli’s agenda there is a name already known around Continassa, that of Jadon Sancho,” the report states.

The Englishman spent last season on loan at Chelsea, where he delivered an output of 5 goals and 10 assists across 42 appearances in all competitions. His role in Chelsea’s Conference League triumph is a detail not to be dismissed, though it came during a season best described as “fluctuating”. Now, with Juventus assessing options in multiple areas, Sancho is being considered once again as a versatile attacking solution.
Sancho’s name may no longer command the glittering value it once held at Borussia Dortmund, but Juventus aren’t alone in watching developments closely. “The competition is fierce, between Borussia Dortmund, Bayer Leverkusen, Arab clubs and Napoli,” the article notes. Yet Napoli seem to have cooled on the chase, leaving the Bianconeri among the more assertive suitors.
Why the renewed attention? In part, it links to two significant moving parts at Juventus: the futures of Conceição and Nico González. As the article states, “Juve intend to keep Chico… Comolli intends to find a solution with Porto to reach the definitive purchase of the winger but not the 30 million clause… the objective is a discount.” Sancho may well become the fallback, or indeed the beneficiary, should Nico González leave amid serious interest.
Forward planning doesn’t stop with wingers. Juventus are also keeping a close eye on their central striker options. With Dusan Vlahovic potentially departing, the Turin giants have turned to both Jonathan David and Victor Osimhen.
The report confirms, “Juve’s choice is to extend the loan of the excellent Kolo Muani and add, in the event of Vlahovic’s departure, another striker.” Jonathan David is “leaving Lille as a free agent,” and although financial negotiations remain ongoing, his profile matches Juve’s direction of travel. Osimhen, meanwhile, is a long shot, valued at a minimum of €75 million and highly sought after across Europe and Saudi Arabia.
A rebuild at the back is also in progress. Juventus are eyeing several central defenders, including Balerdi (Marseille), Laporte (Al-Nassr), Marcos Senesi (Bournemouth), and Hancko (Feyenoord). But it’s a London-based Moroccan who has piqued Comolli’s interest most recently.
“The latest idea leads to London and to Aguerd, a Moroccan central defender born in 1996 from West Ham,” writes Corriere Dello Sport. Aguerd’s loan spell at Real Sociedad put him back on the radar, and the added bonus is that “the English, among other things, like Rugani and therefore the deal could be more easily tied up.”
On the flanks, contingencies are being drawn in case of a major bid for Andrea Cambiaso. Names like Dodò, Wesley, Miguel Gutierrez, Nuno Tavares and Theo Hernandez are being evaluated. That level of scouting suggests a willingness to be flexible, but also a sense of urgency about making tangible upgrades.
Jadon Sancho is a symbol of football’s unpredictability. A once-celebrated prodigy now rebuilding a career. Juventus’ approach this summer is clear: scan broadly, invest wisely, and stay one step ahead. If Sancho becomes part of that strategy, it will be as much about redemption as recruitment.
In the end, Juventus have eyes everywhere. From Aguerd to Osimhen, from Conceição to Sancho, the Bianconeri are pressing forward with plans that speak of a club determined to return to the summit of European football. Whether those plans come together, however, will depend on finances, timing, and a dose of good fortune.
If you’re a Juventus supporter, this has to be one of the most tantalising transfer windows in years. Jadon Sancho might not be the Galáctico his price once suggested, but there’s something poetic about a player clawing his way back into top-level relevance. For Juve to be back in for him after last summer’s failed push is a sign they still believe in his quality, even after an up-and-down loan spell at Chelsea.
The idea that Comolli could get Conceição on a discount, while keeping tabs on Sancho as a plan B, is smart squad-building. Add Jonathan David into the equation, who’s a lethal finisher when confident, and that forward line could really cook. Osimhen seems like a fantasy more than a probability, but even entertaining that level of ambition shows where Juve want to be.
As for Aguerd and the back line, it’s promising to see fresh thinking. The mention of Theo Hernandez, Gutierrez and even Nuno Tavares shows Juve’s willingness to modernise their full-back approach.
All in all, if even half of this comes off, Juve fans could have plenty to cheer about in 2025. Just don’t fumble the finances.
