Juventus have completed the signing of Jeff Ekhator from Genoa on a permanent deal.
The club said in a statement that the fee is 16 million euros, paid in instalments over three years, and could rise to 18 million if predefined sporting targets are met.
The 19-year-old, who came through Genoa’s academy, has signed a contract running until 2031.
He registered four goals in 32 appearances last season for Genoa, consolidating his place in senior football.
Despite his age, Ekhator has already debuted for Italy’s senior side, featuring in a friendly against Greece on 7 June.
He had been linked with Benfica prior to this move. At Juventus he will be coached by Luciano Spalletti, stepping up to one of Europe’s leading clubs.
