Juventus stumble at home to Lecce | OneFootball

After four consecutive victories – three in the league and one in the Champions League – Juventus were caught off guard at home by Lecce and settled for a 1-1 draw.

The vecchia signora dominated the first 45 minutes but the first goal was scored by Lecce.

Following a mistake in the build-up play by Andrea Cambiasso, Lameck Banda recovered the ball on the left, drove to the centre and placed a fine shot into the Michele back of Di Gregorio's net.

With that, the giallorossi went into the break with the lead but Juventus's response came early in the second half.

In the 49th minute, Weston McKennie capitalised on a blocked shot from Kenan Yldiz to equalise.

The home side really should have taken the lead in the 66th minute when they were awarded a penalty. However, Jonathan David attempted a Panenka but goalkeeper Wladimiro Falcone managed to save it with his legs.

So it was that the points were shared which means Juventus currently sit in 5th place in Serie A with 33 points. Meanwhile Lecce are in 16th with 17 points so far.
