Juventus ‘to sign’ Leverkusen’s 18-year-old Kerim Alajbegović amid Chelsea interest

Sky Germany reports that Juventus are closing in on Bayer Leverkusen winger Kerim Alajbegović. A deal for the 18-year-old Bosnia and Herzegovina international is said to be nearing completion.

Leverkusen and the Turin club are understood to have a full agreement on a permanent transfer. Juventus are expected to pay €33 million up front, with bonuses that could lift the fee to €40 million.

A medical is due, then an official contract signing.

Interest from Chelsea, Napoli and Atalanta had been present, with Chelsea reportedly favourites given their financial power. Juventus now appear to be leading the race.
